I am the Eagle, speak of me whoever wants to
But it's better to respect, I am Portela
On this journey, one more star
That will shine in the pavilion of Madureira

Fly on the wings of poetry
Tear through the sky of mythology
And in this Odyssey travel
My eyes will guide you on the crossing
And in my endless destiny
Cross the blue that means everything to me
Face storms and keep on sailing

Oh take me, take me, wherever the wind blows I'll go
Oh take me, take me, I'm free to dream wherever I go

I wish to go to infinity
Feel such beautiful places
Venture into more distant lands
Without knowing if one day I'll return

And beyond, I reached the lost link
In the back and forth, I found the key to life

I'll ask for passage
In search of gold
Its shine fascinates me
I want this treasure map, to find treasures
Open the window, to the world that Paulo created
On the other side, someone may see this love
My children come to adore me
To honor the Samba
