When we take the chalice, when we break the bread.
Moments of joy, true worship
When we drink the wine, when we eat the bread.
We remember Jesus, his love for us
For being God, he emptied himself.
He left his glory, dwelt among us
He shed his blood, gave his body for us.
Moments of praise, also of confession.
Remembering our sins, asking God for forgiveness.
Moments of praise, also of consecration
Seeking more holiness, seeking more unity.
Moments of praise, also of reflection
On the journey, on our mission.
Moments of hope, of great motivation.
Thinking about Christ's return and the resurrection.
We remember Jesus, who one day promised us
We will dine with Him, triumphant in heaven.
It will be a great feast, like never before
Humble servants dining, with the One who overcame all.
