Whisper or Brick Throw
A young guy was speeding down the road
Driving a Jaguar, just a young guy
Suddenly he felt a hard hit on the door
Dented the paint and the body of the car
Furious, he spun around 180 degrees
Who the hell threw this brick? he shouted, enraged
He got out of the car and grabbed that kid by the arms
He shoved him, yelled angrily, and said:
Who the hell are you, and why did you do this to my car?
I’m sorry, it’s gonna cost you a lot, and the kid replied:
"I’m really sorry, sir, I feel terrible, I don’t know what to do
I was pushing my little brother in his wheelchair
And while I was pushing him, he tripped
And fell to the ground, and since no one stopped to
Help me, I had to throw a brick to get
Someone’s attention."
God usually whispers in our ear and heart
But sometimes it takes a brick
To see if we’re really listening
You choose whether Jesus throws a brick at you
Or whispers sweetly in your ear,
You choose, the whisper or the brick throw.
