Na Casa do Rei
Samuel Mariano
In the House of the King
Imagine a boy in the land of Lo-Debar
Son of a prince, grandson of a king
Lame in both legs, unable to walk
How he moved until today I do not know
Forgotten, as his whole family perished
Living as a favor in the house of Maacah
His dreams of adolescence or maybe one day being king
Were frustrated, ended there
Lo-Debar means: Land of forgetfulness
Mephibosheth born for destruction
Lame in both legs, what suffering!
Had no father, mother, grandfather, or siblings
His life was marked by such cruel traumas
His problems no one could solve
But one day someone arrived in a chariot and said come with me
The king has sent for you
And when the king sends for you
The story changes for the better
Someone keeps asking, is this Mephibosheth?
That trash, that dust?
But it is from the dust that God raises and sets at the table for the king to eat
Raise your hand and glorify
Beloved brother, believe that today it is with you
Someone judges you are forgotten, living in the land of Lo-Debar as well
Nothing different happens to you, you see nothing, no one visits you
Your life is full of such cruel traumas
Your problems no one can solve
Open your eyes because a chariot has arrived
Listen to a voice saying the king has sent for you
