Se Metieron Con Todo
Sandra Mihanovich
They Messed With Everything
They messed with everything
In our shared space
They turned it all upside down
The jars, the pockets,
The dog's barking,
The notebooks, the threads.
They pulled the curtains,
The floors, the shutters,
Your housecoat,
The stitches in the fabric.
They dug up our fears,
The sides, the dreams,
The hits of love,
The kids, the friends.
They didn’t say who
Or why, or for how long,
What was going on with you
The rest of us together
The others from the others
And our neighbors.
