I Left And Came Back
I left, but now I'm back, for better or for worse
The end result is that I'm back here again
I know well what I felt, that December day
Where almost forever, they took me without returning
I found myself unintentionally, being just another prayer
Of the many like me, all we have left is to pray
They gave me a white bed and a rosary to throw
Perfumes of a thousand daffodils to blind death
But death smelled me and starting to feel around the bed followed me
Trying to find me, maybe those from beyond heard my prayers
And the virgin hid me like from Herod, and even more to death
She played games that it couldn't decipher and angels prepared my escape
Jesus, the virgin, my celestial army
I don't know, the day it was, when I opened my eyes and saw
A sun peeking at me and I smiled at that sun
It's the one that God sent me, every day for me
That protects me, I know
Because even though I left, I came back
Because even though I left, I came back
I left and came back, yes I came back...
