El Cielo
Santa Sabina
The Sky
I have a fear I can’t name
Like a flower that returns to the gray ground
Being nothing, a fleeting hunger
That will quench the sun's thirst
In a well of rainwater
I see the color of the sky about to fall
With my hands, I’ll hold it tight
I’ll know its blue skin
And you, why do you refuse to see?
Why don’t you hear me scream?
Am I not real?
Why do you prefer to watch me die
Than to see me touch the sun
That could burn me?
My hope is like a blue sky:
An illusion hiding out of fear
Silence gives it warmth
No one sees it burning away
The light sleeps on a crystal
That no one can see
It will be called by an immortal voice
That no one can hear
Hope
A sun
Is fading, is fading
I’ll fall into that well of light,
I won’t fear being an illusion anymore
I’m chasing the blazing sun
I have no name or voice
I’m the water for its thirst
I’m chasing the blazing sun
The intensity of its light
The fire of my faith
I am the veil that’s about to fall
A reflection of a blue sky
That no one can see
