Carta a Mamá
Sebastian Mendoza
Letter to Mom
who will give me that love that you gave me
who will tell me the stories that you used to tell me
who will give me the caresses that you gave me with your white hands
who will bless me every morning
who will teach me the things that you taught me
who will make me feel like a child
like when you used to talk to me
who will kiss my forehead with so much tenderness
like you used to kiss me
tell me who, if you're not with me anymore, mom
and I'm still here, the empty house makes me think of you
there are times when I look at your door and see you leaving
there's not a day I don't think of you, mom
who will search for me like you in the sleepless nights
who will keep me warm from the cold when autumn comes
who will whisper in my ear telling me
you are my good prince
tell me who, if you're not with me anymore, mom
we still miss you like the first day
your perfume and your voice are always in the empty house
there are things one
has to learn in this life
and today I understand how much I miss you, mom
and I'm still here, the empty house makes me think of you
there are times when I look at your door and see you leaving
there's not a day I don't think of you..
and I'm still here, the empty house makes me think of you
there are times when I look at your door and see you leaving
there's not a day I don't think of you
there's not a night I don't think of you
there's not a moment I don't think of you, mom
