Twinkle Town

'Twinkle Town' is a parody by Seijinho, a YouTuber well known on social media for reviewing and analyzing movies in a playful, humorous and ironic way: that's why the song's intro is "Meu sonho frágil / É que algum dia eu nunca mais veja filmes / E se for série / Melhor desistir". His channel on the platform already has more than 800,000 followers and he is known as the Japonês da Federal by his fans, hence the line "Isso pegou muito mal pro Japonês da Federal". In his photo on X, the old Twitter, he is also characterized in police clothing.

Before releasing the song, Seijinho released the video 'High School Musical: The Review'. In it, the YouTuber tells the synopsis of the movie - always in a funny way and full of references and memes - as well as curiosities about the musical, such as the fact that Zac Efron didn't sing the songs in the movie: in fact, in these parts, Troy Bolton's voice is Drew Seeley's ("Twinkle Town, Twinkle Town / Ele não fez o vocal").

Zac Efron himself is also remembered by the YouTuber: the lines "O twink envelheceu mal / Fez harmonização facial / O shape dele é natural / Filtro solar não faz mal / Preenchimento labial / E o Zac Efron tá parecendo a Kéfera" summarize the rumours that have been circulating on the Internet since 2019 about the possible aesthetic procedures carried out by the actor. Although it's just a joke, there is no reliable information to confirm that Zac Efron has had plastic surgery; what is known is that Zac broke his jaw after a serious accident.

Sharpay and Ryan Evans, mentioned in the song, are characters in the musical. She is the popular, extravagant, ambitious girl determined to shine on stage, known for her strong personality, her love of theater and her quest for fame. Ryan, on the other hand, is talented in dance and theater and is usually seen alongside his sister in her efforts to achieve stardom. Seijinho jokes about the fact that the two always appear together, saying that they look like a couple ("Mas quem vai ver um musical / Que dois irmãos são um casal?"), even recalling Sandy and Junior.

As mentioned in the video, 'Twinkle Town' is the name of the musical that will be performed at East High School, the fictional school where the HSM events take place. Other characters from the movie are also mentioned by Seijinho, such as "É tipo o Zeke ficar sem o crème", a reference to the character Zeke Baylor and his passion for cooking; Chad Danforth, in "O Chad é um boçal / Ele pede algo ilegal / Segregação social", due to his aversion to the idea of Troy singing in a musical and thus encouraging the mixing of groups in the school.
