Mis Poemas, Mi Guitarra
Sergio Y Estibaliz
My Poems, My Guitar
Take girl my poems and sell them
Sell my guitar too, sell them both
My poems no longer speak the truth
My guitar without strings doesn't sound bad
Let whoever wants to pay you better pay
Included in the lot is all my love
My poems have dropped to the price of paper
My guitar is little wood but burns well
(Chorus:)
Goodbye words of paper
Goodbye faithful guitar
Goodbye my love come back again
Come back again
A poem is not a pencil, not a paper
It's a piece of my life painted on it
A paper is a complaint, a loneliness
A flower, a hope, a will return
My guitar is a docile and faithful lover
It speaks when I ask and then falls silent
Sleeps in an old box to not bother
And goes out of tune when it sees me cry
(Chorus:)
Goodbye words of paper
Goodbye faithful guitar
Goodbye my love come back again
Come back again
My poems have lost their honesty
They are words that aimlessly come and go
My old guitar has lost its edge
And its notes no longer come from the heart
(Chorus:)
Goodbye words of paper
Goodbye faithful guitar
Goodbye my love come back again
Come back again
Take girl my poems and sell them
Sell my guitar too, sell them both
My poems have dropped to the price of paper
My guitar is little wood but burns well
