I Want to Learn
Lord Jesus
Until I get used to the weight of this cross
Shining Your light on my face
I will face many battles
I want to learn to be only a servant and obey You
And if necessary, die for Your love
Or be a living example of power
I want to learn
To love those who hate me as myself
To use my hands to bless
To have eternal communion with You
To offer my own life as a sacrifice
And so I will overcome every obstacle
I want to learn, Lord, to be clay in Your hands
To offer the other cheek to those who strike my face
To commit myself to Your truth
And may I no longer live but Christ live in me
