To reach this place
To praise you at this altar, it wasn't so easy
To get where I got
To face what I faced, no, it wasn't easy
I endured disappointments
And among a thousand persecutions, I saw no way out
Hell rose up
And even tried to take my life
But deep in my heart
Faith in my Lord was sprouting like a seed
The more trials I face
The more I strengthen in prayer and faith resists the pain
And even if no one can see
When communion makes me live
Waiting in God
I won't trade this hope
For the lentil dishes the world offers

My God, I won't trade your love
For the lentils the world has
Even if they lasted a lifetime
They wouldn't do me any good
I can't refuse your love
With you, I will always be victorious
What the world gives are traps
They are just lentils
