I don't understand people on the streets without bread, without shelter
Mistreated, stepped on, wounded by those who claim to know how to love
It's the contradictions that human words
Will never be able to explain
Wounded because of love, loved ones wanting to hurt

Who knows how to love is illuminated by God
Their destiny is to love and be loved
Wherever they are, on the highest mountain or in the deep sea
Someone will arise who will love them too
Who knows how to love brings healing to the wounded
Shares bread and encourages the downcast
And their hands will be in this world
Like the hands of God, like a good angel
Everything they touch will receive love
