Adeus Mariana

Goodbye Mariana
I was born in the city, married in the hills
With my Mariana: a girl from outside
One day I found her affection strange
I said: Goodbye, Mariana, I'm already leaving
She's a true gaucha through and through
Only wears a big hat, baggy pants, and spurs
And I was seeing the complicated situation
I said: Goodbye, Mariana, I'm already leaving
As soon as the day broke, she pulled me from bed
Saddled my horse and rode out into the fields
And I was pissed off and went out saying
Goodbye, Mariana, I'm already leaving
She didn't say a word, but she was brooding
Wondering if this time I would really leave
She grabbed the whip and came at me
I said: Let go, Mariana, I'm not leaving
And she, all mad, started breaking things
Took my clothes and threw them out the door
I grabbed my stuff, made a bundle, and went out saying
Goodbye, Mariana, I'm already leaving
