Serafim e Seus Filhos
Sérgio Reis
Seraphim and His Sons
There are three males and one female, by the way Maria
Who resembled everyone
All with a sharp look to see up close
Who was coming from far away
Children of two oaths, both bloody
On a clear night
Ê A Ô
João breaks coconuts
Mané Quindim, Lourenço, and Maria
Late night of silence and moon
Seraphim, the good house shepherd, would leave
Of the four boys, two carried rifles
The other two carried tobacco and flour
Bandits of the green fields
Don Quixotes of our desert
Ê A Ô
Seraphim good with a knife
Mané, João, Lourenço, and Maria
But the young Lourenço, the youngest of the four
Was the one who knew everything of the four
He decided to leave the gang and go far away
Where nobody knew him
Seraphim swore revenge
My son doesn't dance, according to the dance
Ê A Ô
And they killed Lourenço
On a late night of calm moon
Everyone around here
Says that Lourenço didn't give peace
He led his sister Maria into a life of sin
And killed the other two out of fear
After seeing his son turn into a werewolf
Seraphim lost his mind
Ê A Ô
And died seven times
Until opening a path to paradise
