Dios, Padre Eterno

I always want to be grateful
To the one who gives me life
The one who teaches me to forgive
The one who brought me to this earth
To fulfill a mission
It's God, eternal Father

You created the heavens and the earth
The plants and animals, and humans too
And the universe, I was made by you
How can I not thank you?

If every drop of oxygen I breathe
Comes from your hands, and you give me strength
In moments of anguish

And I thank you for the new day

That you give strength to the sick

Help the prisoner to change his ways
Help the dying to rest in peace
I also ask for my country
Venezuela, so we can have peace again
