Traditional Games Poems
I want to dedicate my song at this moment
To all the children of Venezuela, today I will sing
About the traditional Venezuelan games
And I know that adults, youth, and the
Elderly play them too
The spinning top game is fun and we always
Were entertained watching that diamond spin
Perinola, is a fun game, where we all bet
On who could fit it in the most, our thumbs would go numb
From spinning the perinola so much
Kite, it has several names, some called it
Samuraca, others witches, and that's how it was named
As desired, many endured the sun waiting for wind
To see it fly high, they attached little leaves to make
Another kite fall
Marbles, was a fun game, played in a hole, triangle
The same marbles were bet, the most beautiful marble
Was called the coconut, some got upset when they lost
The marbles, but the most beautiful thing was sharing with
Friends
I want to dedicate my song at this moment
To all the children of Venezuela, today I will sing
About the traditional Venezuelan games
And I know that adults, youth, and the
Elderly play them too
