I kept walking, don't look for shortcuts
if someone says "you're falling behind" and you're already tired
Take another step and step on this footprint

That fell to stand up
and crossed the wandering time
that searched until finding you

The uphill stretch always seems long
and if someone says "climb up, I'll catch up with you, why go stumbling?"
Get up and step on this footprint

Your journey is long and there's no comfort to defend
another day without arriving but still you go out to walk
and if you get tired and can't go on
when you're alone, remember me and I'll come there
