Dívida de Gratidão

Shawlin Shawlin

Debt of Gratitude

I have my rights along with my duties
In the moments I have, I give time to simple pleasures
Like watching the Sun set, seeing the Sun die on the horizon
I value seeing the same Sun rise on the horizon
I closed my eyes and in an instant my world expands
A beautiful beginning, I wanted to pretend I had never seen before
Because the Moon has already gone, but the stars remain
The Sun arrived later, but it's still possible to see them
Returning from the bus, arriving home I smoke
It's almost six in the morning, few will smell the smoke
Put your face out and feel the wind, the smell of dew comes
Wait another half hour and you only breathe poison
This world is thirsty for material things
How can I be so happy with such normal things?
Brother, I love my fate, of reflections and rhymes
And ending here, I'll go to sleep with my girl!

I thank God when everything is fine
When everything is bad, I thank Him too
But when I'm in the dark, who comes to help me?
I thank mine, I thank mine

But when I'm in the dark, who comes to help me?
I thank mine, Tomba and Quinto Andar

I thank for seeing this infinite wisdom
He gave me two legs for transportation and a head as a guide
He gave the earth for harvest, made night and day
He didn't leave us the recipe, but it's good for those who appreciate
Since I grew up, I saw his logic everywhere
His cloak, his poetry that I didn't hear but saw enchantment
Over time, I learned to value simple pleasures
With a pause for the sunset, ignoring my chores
Duties will be fulfilled in the time life demands
In the fever with my spirits, I recite amidst the verve
Expressing my illicit conflicts while reflecting
Anxious I was before, now calm minds serve
I'm not the same as before, learn and life goes on
Born with Gandhi's peace, there are moments when peace is lost
Perfume for the nose, taste for the palate
I'm alive, not ungrateful, I know God made it to please me

I thank God when everything is fine
When everything is bad, I thank Him too
But when I'm in the dark, who comes to help me?
I thank mine, I thank mine

But when I'm in the dark, who comes to help me?
I thank mine, Tomba and Quinto Andar
