Vai Moisés
Shirley Carvalhaes
Go Moses
The river flowed slowly, in the midst of Egypt
In a basket of reeds, was Moses
Just a boy, but to the great God
He was the one who would set his people free
Go, Moses, the time has come
You have grown up, and you are not Pharaoh's son
Look at the people suffering, and this people needs you
The Great I Am commands you: Go ahead, I will help you overcome!
Tell Pharaoh to set my people free
This people has a God, this great God is me
I will send many plagues, Egypt will suffer
But with my Hebrew people nothing will happen
The firstborn died at midnight in Egypt
But the Hebrew children, none had died
There was another great plague among the animals
Until Pharaoh shouted: Moses, take your people and go!
Go, Moses, with your victorious people
In the desert or in the sea, the Great I Am guards you
Go, Moses, with your victorious people
In the desert or in the sea, the Great I Am guards you
God's people left and never to return to Egypt
Pharaoh was outraged, with his army he went after
Arriving at the Red Sea, after the people crossed
The Great God spoke
Pharaoh and his army, never again!
Never again, never again!
Pharaoh with his army, never again!
Go, Moses, with your victorious people
In the desert or in the sea, the Great I Am guards you
Go, Moses, with your victorious people
In the desert or in the sea, the Great I Am guards you
Go, Moses!
