Ishmael and Hagar
The day had not yet dawned
Because it was still so early and there was no option
A woman with nowhere to go
Desperate with her son she followed
By the scorching sun of the desert
He saw the pain and affliction up close
When everything seemed to be the end
Of Hagar with Ishmael in that pain
God looked down on them from heaven above
And at that very moment the angel then cried out
Why do you cry Hagar, God has already contemplated you
The Lord heard your son's cry
Victory is coming, you will achieve it
Never give up, because God will act
If the evil you are facing is great
And the thirst in the desert is punishing you
In the desert of this life, God does not leave you alone
See how God acted with Ishmael and Hagar
When the water in your bottle ran out
A spring of water in the desert God made overflow
So why stop, keep going
If the God you serve is always present
He goes with you, wherever you go
It was with Paul and Silas inside that prison
With Moses he opened the sea and showed him
That victory is assured by your strong hand
