Milk

Milk
That was terribly sudden
The street corner is filled with a song without substance and a 'goodbye' that I pour out to you
The southern exit still has no sign of sweat today, slowly melting away with each step
Your moist eyes long for the dry wind, like I longed for you
'On Monday mornings, I skip breakfast' you, with your thin makeup, beautifully in a bad mood
After waking up from a familiar dream, I think of you from afar and up close
The poet who can't sing can only deliver written words
Only the days keep passing by
To call it 'cafe au lait' is too much, remembering the 'milk' with you was a mismatch
It's not a comfortable, quick power outage, all tangled up in a 'kiss'... and so on
I wasn't good at writing words that believe in myself
'I love the unadorned you' shattered into pieces, now I pretend to dance
The value of you, enough to forget things like two sugars and honey learned back then
Now, overflowing words can't be delivered
Somewhere by chance, or maybe by fate, like 'republic'
I get tired of searching, but still keep going
It's not about being grand, it's about loving you
We chose a burnt brown sofa together, a flashy umbrella, a broken umbrella
It's not as strong as I remember, but I can't let go
I wanted to see the continuation of the familiar dream, thinking of you from afar
The poet who can't sing writes down words, singing unsung words
Living the days that can't be returned to
