Let Me Return
Let me,
you who accompany me
like a friendship;
let me,
you who are the ghost
of my loneliness;
return through the same streets
where I walked without your love,
return to the cinemas, to the parks,
to the looks, without guilt of the world
passing by my side without you.
Let me
give back to the wind
what I stole from it.
Let me
say forever
for the last time.
And return only with my good mornings
and the goodbye to return.
Disappear forever
from the paths we
had to walk together
to the end of love.
Then, perhaps lost
in memories,
there will be no one to tell one day
our story.
But that doesn't matter
as everything goes to the wind.
It doesn't matter if no one
puts us in a tale
if in the end we only love
and then we go.
Let me,
you who are the ghost
of my loneliness:
let me,
you who accompany me
with a friendship;
return.
