Martianos

Martians
I'm a grain of sand,
another leaf on a tree
and each wave teaches me
and each breeze brings something.
I haven't seen all the lands,
I haven't seen all the seas,
but I have felt the war
whistling everywhere.
When I was born they told me:
you were born out of hope.
That's what I tell my son
as I head towards the slaughter.
I want death to stop,
I want the cold to stop
so I can dedicate myself
to flower, wind, and river.
The world gave me hands,
two realms make my fate.
I carry a flower in my right hand
which is the realm of death.
I live on love and sword,
from mouth and open doors.
One must live by a bullet.
One must die by a party.
How harsh are those nights
when we want to be good
and we have to kill while sobbing
and we have to die smiling.
