Mujer de Papel

Paper Woman
This story starts like this
with a painter in his gray room
on his table a drawing on paper
of that woman who was unfaithful to him
His world went dark
when his drawing took flight
Through the windows the wind blew in
with the force of that red autumn
the little woman with the sad eyes
flew up to the sky, into the gray clouds
Since then her journey began
flying from town to town
but in every place she arrived
the passersby didn’t even glance at her
And then she started to fade away
Her body was about to disappear
The wind, the cold, the rain, and the mud
slowly turned her into dust
her little pieces of thin paper
ended up wandering among rivers
The painter, long dead now
among his sheets soaked in blood
and in the autumn the wind brings him
his woman from distant stars
ahhhh she comes and goes
with the stars and the sea
