Terezín
Silvio Rodriguez
Terezín
A white nightmare
Of chimneys burning blood
For children of Judea
With a rare star and hungry faces
In winter and summer it's the same
Behind wires, there's no season
Terezín of children playing
With common death
While they painted a blue sky
While they dreamed of running around
While they still believed in the sea
And they were taken for a walk
To never return
Terezín, broken ball
Thirst for already incredible afternoons
The high walls jumped crazy
And love, unyielding
Remained hanging on barbed wire
Of Terezín
Terezín, broken ball
