Círios

Candles
My child, do you see that light?
It's the city in the dark...
The boat glides through the waters
and beats like a heart
full of joy, balm, blessing.
The Círio of Nazaré,
you'll see, it will be, kid,
something you won't forget,
to stick on your path
like the sound of a guitar
that made you cry softly...
when you see the Lady
you'll feel so small.
In front of the mess that exists
in this human life of ours
you'll grow more than the moonlight,
you'll fly higher than the weeks,
you'll smile at the revealed,
fruit of emotion on your lips
that everything is tied together
and the world is ONE, it's hollow.
Kid, wake up and come see
the sun won't be long to rise
come see Bethlehem
that starts to wake up.
You'll see other Octobers
(and Octobers hold stories),
feel the weight
when the time comes.
