Dos Enamoradas (Mar e Lua)
Simone
Two Lovers (Sea and Moon)
They loved each other urgently,
with salty kisses like a rough sea
Two waves crashing without saying a word,
two lovers
facing the same sea
They loved against the current
baring backs,
lifting skirts
and were lovers more than comrades
Two lovers
two crazies
They tasted a forbidden love
and it's already known,
it goes from mouth to mouth,
that one was crazy with fear and doubt
and the other was naked
eager for the sea
And they left marked
their soft footprints between shivers,
in seas and rivers and in seashells,
their lonely caresses,
their yearning to love
And they say the moon saw them
like two bubbles becoming one,
floating in the water,
dragging sand,
mermaid tails at low tide
And then they say they died
far from the dunes,
one on top of the other, the other on top of one,
in the same cradle
under the same moon
and the same sea
