Amutuy-soledad
SOLEDAD
Amutuy-loneliness
There they are celebrating
Yesterday's conquest
With my own flag
They stole my faith
The ones from Remington before
And their laws after
They trampled on my beliefs
And my way of being
They imposed culture
And this language too
What they didn't impose on me
Was the color of my skin
Amutuy, loneliness
That my brother
Cornered me, mercilessly
Let's go because the wire
And the prosecutor
Have more power, amutuy
Without begging
There they are celebrating
Those with the saber and the cross
How they stripped me
Without any reason
Subjugating my race
In the name of God
With what law did they judge me
Guilty of what
Of being free in my land
Or being an Indian perhaps
What conquest are they celebrating
That I can't understand
