Coplas de la orilla

SOLEDAD SOLEDAD

Shore Couplets

In couplets I am blooming
and in couplets I will sing to them
I bloom like an aromo tree
because I am from Santa Fe.

I have traveled these lands
along the Paraná riverbank
where the willows dawn
kissing the jacaranda.

How beautiful my land is
province of Santa Fe
I will keep singing
and singing I will die.

I only have as fortune
my guitar and my singing
but I have more than enough courage
to sing and dream.

I am feeling out the silence
this way of existing
the river seems calm
to me I know it's not so.

Life becomes hard for me
when the wage is not enough
I am comforted by the richness
of the coastal flower.

In the middle of the road
I will not get stuck
there is always a companion
willing to push.
