Por las costas entrerrianas
SOLEDAD
By the Entre Ríos coasts
Glow of dawn by the Entre Ríos coasts
crossing the Gualquiraró almost reaching Corrientes
you feel the sensation of living in heaven
with a sweet woman that nobody could match.
Greenery of the willow grove that the water caresses
there goes a fisherman rowing at the stern
and my heart sings because there is no greater fortune in the world
than returning to those lands.
And I think, my friend, how beautiful life is
how beautiful my land and my people are too
and I think of Yoyi, Claudia, and Carlos
and Pelao Lezcano whom I will not forget.
Soul friends who brighten life
and give me the strength to not give up
and shout to the world in a face-off
Entre Ríos paradise, city of La Paz.
When I go out to explore those rivers of my land
I often cry unintentionally for the beauty it holds
a deep emotion overwhelms me for that love of my land
and if I find a woman, I am like an Indian in war.
With the horse all worn out comes Linares Cardozo
swimming to the Paraná and his soul full of joy
when I see him pass from above the cliff
I usually whistle too much for him to take me on his back.
