Los Paisajes
SOLEDAD
The Landscapes
The landscapes of my land
That are of many colors
Speak of hatred and love
And cling to my heart
So much peace and so much war
So many screams in the void
The river comes so stirred
The town keeps waiting
And I'm always singing
In the shelter of my own
In the eyes of the children
An evidence shines through
I share that experience
What matters is the affection
With my tears I stain
The color of my handkerchief
When I think of the grandparents
Who sowed the seeds
Today they are the shining Moon
Up there in the sky
I dream of a different day
I am like the reed
I bend but I don't break
I dream of there being bread and work
That nobody lacks a roof
I believe being happy is our right
The future is a bet
Like a full hope
And if the chips are not enough
Destiny lends them to you
Every Sun has its setting
This life is a second
I won't lose my way
If I want to be by your side
Who takes away what we've danced
When the journey ends
I dream of a different day
I am like the reed
I bend but I don't break
I dream of there being bread and work
That nobody lacks a roof
I believe being happy is our right
I dream of a different day
I am like the reed
I bend but I don't break
I dream of there being bread and work
That nobody lacks a roof
I believe being happy is our right
