Enero Del Último Día
Spinetta Jade
January of the Last Day
Marcos wakes up and the nine o'clock sun kisses his eyes
It washes his face and beyond the river and the bridges
The eyes of the other gaze light up
Meri is always slow to wake up
Her body wraps around
Her body wraps around
And later takes a train
That only opens at the stations
At the stations
And there's something strange
When they meet each other
Just for a while
So intensely that they can't even touch
Marcos, in a hurry
Sees her from inside
And runs by her side to meet her
And drops his newspaper when he hugs her
Luckily, he forgets it
Luckily, he forgets it
And they are being searched for
Everywhere
-baby, I'm losing you
And they run madly
They go alone down the street
With their hands empty
Poetry of the ground
Poetry of the day
And they play with the shadows of their steps
Luckily it's January
Luckily it's January
And there's a strange air
Everywhere
-baby, I'm losing you
And they run madly
Then each one goes back home
And does nothing else
And does nothing else.
