Les Vacances Au Bord De La Mer
Stacey Kent
Vacation by the Sea
We used to go to the seaside
With my father, my sister, my mother
We watched other people
How they spent their money
We had to be careful
When we had paid
The price of a rental
There wasn't much left
So we watched the boats
We sucked on water ice creams
The palaces, the restaurants
We just passed by
And we watched the boats
In the morning we woke up early
On the beach, for hours
We got nice tans
We used to go to the seaside
With my father, my sister, my mother
And when the waves were calm
We spent the day on the islands
Except when we couldn't anymore
So we watched the boats
We sucked on water ice creams
Our hearts were a little heavy
But it was still beautiful
