Velha Amizade
Stênio Március
Old Friendship
He was a cripple but didn't live alone
Had 4 buddies
4 hearts full of kindness and faith
Hope in sight
4 ropes each at one end of a bed
A hole open in a roof
Lots of synchrony balance and aim
4 men who don't know what it is
To give up, to doubt
He descends that bed right in the middle of the place
Where Christ was
What's harder? Who will answer me?
To forgive or to heal?
The cripple walks away carrying his bed
How free someone is when forgiven
On the roof 4 men embraced, tears and laughter
Tell me what's hard for God to do
Look at the 5 buddies they almost look like the local boys
Climbing the fig tree, jumping down the hill, waterfall bath, dust, mud and dirt
A thousand pranks to pull
Like it was long ago
Enough of suffering, enough of remembering, foolish is the one who arrives last
