Smiling and Singing
I go on living smiling and singing
I have to be like this
The barriers that arise on the road, I fear nothing, God takes care of me
Many times the sea rises and the waves try to suffocate me
I see myself on the brink of death, but God is stronger than the storms
That's why I keep walking, smiling and singing, and I can't stop
When life ends here, I'll be singing somewhere else
Suddenly sadness comes trying to silence me
I remember Paul and Silas, then I get inspired and start singing
I feel something invading my soul
I forget about anguish and pain, no one defeats a people who sing
Who have in their throats a high praise
I sing because I am joyful, I also sing because I am happy
I confess that I didn't know that singing for Christ was so good
I discovered the hidden treasure, now all that's left is to sing
What comes over me doesn't matter
Not even death will silence me
