Caminhos

Through paths I have trodden
My feet are wounded
And my shoulders so tired
With the weight of the cross
And the tears persist
To wet my face
Only you, dear Jesus
Can wipe them away

Do not take your spirit
From my poor heart
If I lose everything in life
I will have your presence

And when you return
With the saints I will ascend
Far beyond the stars
Then I will rest
