Innadiflames
On those days I wake up and nothing works!
I don’t have a dime in the bank and nothing works!
I go down and the damn bike won’t start and nothing works!
I don’t even have a joint left and nothing works!
I walk down the street and see kids with no shame
They grow tall, but their minds don’t mature
They forget that respect is the law in the hard streets
It’ll be their damn consequence in the future
And I’m walking, locked up in my armor
Thinking about how the hell I’m gonna pay each bill
I pull out my cell & call “the dude” for some good weed
But it was off or out of service
And if it’s not working, if you see nothing’s working!
By not reacting, you say it doesn’t matter
But it does matter to do it right and not wrong,
And to commit to finish what you want and start
In my neighborhood, I see things that can’t be fixed,
There’s an old man digging through the trash
In my neighborhood, everyone lives in madness
And few are the ones who will lend you a hand
Haf bun dem!
All the evils I hide inside
When everything goes wrong, I say: bun dem!
And those days when nothing works,
I remember those I know are true friends and won’t let me down!
There are days when nothing matters and everything feels murky,
I wander from uptown to the suburbs
The city sleeps, boy, yeah, shut up the neighborhood,
I walk like the black cat that brings bad luck
Lights and mystery like a carnival attraction,
I don’t ride that Ferris wheel filled with hysteria, eh!
I look around and see the misery,
They’re interested in keeping so much tragedy!
Days I don’t want to remember, they left me scars
Today I want to wake up with Renata and be happy
To cut out each of my problems at the root
Smoking on that beach with my homies, that weed
When reggae wakes me up playing
I stay real, I don’t switch sides
Days that came hard, I left them soft
There’s no conclusion, we live in random mode
Haf bun dem!
All the evils I hide inside
When everything goes wrong, I say: bun dem!
And those days when nothing works,
I remember those I know are true friends and won’t let me down!
On those days I wake up and nothing works!
I don’t have a dime in the bank and nothing works!
I go down and the damn bike won’t start and nothing works!
I don’t even have a joint left and nothing works!
I walk down the street and see kids with no shame
