Água Viva

Living Water
Going to Galilee
The master stopped at Jacob's well
It was almost noon in Samaria
Where the story took place
A woman who was thirsty
Was by the well to fetch water
She was the Samaritan woman
The sinner from Sychar
Jesus then said, 'Give me a drink
For I am thirsty'
And she replied
'Don't you see that my people are your enemies
I am a Samaritan, you a Jewish man
How can you come here to talk to me?'
With eyes of love
Seeing her distress
The master said
'Daughter, if you knew who I truly am
You would ask me for water, and I would give you to drink'
Tell me then, sir
Where is the source?
I want that water
For this well is deep
I am already tired
It's not easy
To quench my thirst
Then he said to her, listen
Carefully, I will introduce myself
I am the living water
That springs from the eternal fountain in heaven
And whoever drinks from me will never be thirsty again
This word is faithful
I am the one who satisfies you
And fills the void in your heart
And amidst the darkness, I am the light
Who illuminates the path and guides you
Nice to meet you, my name is Jesus
I am Jesus
