After school, I dash home, tossing my backpack
I run to our usual meeting spot, turning at the corner
Gathering in front of the jungle gym at the park, it’s always the same faces
I wonder what’s gonna happen today, my heart races every day

Someone’s definitely got a rubber ball
We played with it until it was pitch black outside
We had our own rules for baseball, just us there
Sneaking snacks from school, I’d scribble on the pavement
