En La Mesa Del Rey
Tangela Vieira
At the King's Table
They said I wouldn't achieve it
They asked me to stop dreaming
When my feet were crippled,
They mocked me, criticized me
They sent me to the land of Lodebar
Land of forgetfulness and suffering
And in that place I stayed alone, humiliated, abandoned
But in my heart there's hope
The King promised not to forget me
I know that day will come
And I will see the King's chariot enter through the gates
To take me
I will sit at the King's table!
I will eat from the King's table!
And those who humiliated me will see me there
And they will have to know that I was invited
I will receive the lands I lost
And all the treasures my father left
When he had to fight in battle
And his short life was taken
That's how it is when God promises
Time may pass, but He doesn't forget about you
But in my heart there's hope
The King promised not to forget me
I know that day will come
And I will see the King's chariot enter through the gates
To take me
