Scar
Tatsuya Kitani
Scar
The blue sky is hopelessly clear
Symptoms sprout in me with no solution, swelling
As if laughing at us, the cowardly ones
Countless eyes peered
Just embracing
My repeatedly broken heart
Until the day it turns to ashes
All the sadness I've swallowed
Filled me with shaped colors, that's how I've walked
Layer by layer like breathing
The countless scars on these palms
That won't disappear are mine
It's a red letter, I write it
Even that fear we faced
Carved, we started walking together again
The blue sky is hopelessly clear
Like a black falling shadow, emptiness swells
As if to heal the painful wounds
My hand led me to resignation
Piling up regrets over and over
Yet still
The scattered light is dazzling
All the hope reflected in these eyes
Even if it crumbles, turns black, and changes completely
To drown out the whispers of distorted disappointment
Someone inside me screamed
Crying for meaning in the given tomorrow
If you just stop and sit waiting for the end
Regrets and disappointments are unnecessary
Yet I admired
Your beauty in choosing and shaping tomorrow
Resisting the darkness
Regretting mistakes, fearing tomorrow
The pain that only I can't hand over
Having swallowed all the sadness
Filled me with shaped colors, that's how I've walked
Layer by layer like breathing
The countless scars on these palms
That won't disappear are mine
It's a red letter, I write it
Even that fear we faced
Carved, we started walking together again
