Four Corners of the House
They tried to bring down our house,
But our house is standing,
It was in the four corners of the house,
That I placed my faith.
Our house is not a rich person's house,
But for us, it holds great value,
There is a part of my life there,
There are also many drops of sweat.
Our house was made with care,
Like planting a little flower,
Envy will not bring down,
What was once made with love.
At home, we are all happy,
Because we are not envious of anyone,
Our house is our sweet shelter,
We can provide shelter to someone else.
I'm not afraid of the evil eye,
I'm not afraid of envy either,
The evil eye looks but doesn't see,
The security that our house has.
I ask permission from my protection,
For now I reveal how it is,
This great fortress of ours,
Is what keeps our house standing.
In one corner I placed Virgin Mary,
In another corner stands firm Saint Joseph,
In another, the Lady of Aparecida,
In the other corner, Good Jesus of Nazareth.
