Deus de Neemias

There in Jerusalem, something happened
They broke down the walls and mocked God
Misery was raging, the doors were burned
And a great sadness befell him there
But God told Nehemiah, because in his heart
To build the walls with the help of brothers
But Sanballat laughed, and so did his friends
They said this would be rebellion against the king
However, Nehemiah, full of God's authority
He replied: The God of heaven will make us prosper
The wall is raised, the enemy is ashamed
And the one who reigned there was God

And while Nehemiah was rebuilding the temple of the Lord
Sanballat and Tobiah rose up
Trying to disrupt the great work
But Nehemiah was confident in the Lord
That would win the battle against his enemies
The walls were raised
The embarrassed enemy
And the people were victorious in the name of the Lord!

The same God of those days is in this place today
And he tells me to let you know at that time
The God of heaven is the one who will make us prosper!
Cheer up now, for Jesus Christ is telling you
Listen now to what I say to you
I am sovereign and in this war I will win!

It's me who does it, it's me who undoes it
I'm the one who closes, I'm the one who opens
I am the almighty, I am God
It is I who can, it is I who exalt
I am the living God, I am the one who slaughters
I am the mighty God of heaven, I am the great I am!
