Isha Al Hachof
The Parvarim
Woman of the Night
If you decide to walk at night
To the edge of the river, where memories fade
For sure you'll see a woman dressed in black
In the breeze of the night, waiting for dawn to break
So it goes until the end of the night
On the edge, she stands still
Her dark silhouette in the wind, it lingers
This is what she hopes for, the man she loves
Maybe tonight he’ll come back
Who was the one she loved,
Who was the man that left her behind?
What a mystery, which way did he go?
And in the calm of the days,
In the darkness,
Every night renews
The beating of her heart breaking free
So it goes until the end of the night
On the edge, she stands still
Her dark silhouette in the wind, it lingers
This is what she hopes for, the man she loves
Maybe tonight he’ll come back
