Lá Onde Eu Moro
Tião Carreiro e Pardinho
Where I Live
Where I live, it's a hidden corner,
But it looks like an open sky,
Full of so much beauty!
Where I live, my life is more alive,
The colorful landscape
By nature itself!
Where I live, whoever wishes to know,
I teach with pleasure,
With all satisfaction!
My house is not very pretty there,
But whoever visits me,
I receive with an open heart!
Where I live, it's surrounded by trees,
The sun sets earlier,
It takes longer for the moon to appear.
Constantly, crystal clear water flows
Up on the hill-
How beautiful to look at!
Where I live, people don't get sad-
Sadness doesn't exist there,
Although it's a hidden corner!
Where I live, it's truly a paradise
On our lips, there's only a smile,
In our eyes, no tears are seen.
Where I live, when it's dawn,
The birds sing,
A sign of a new day:
The mourning dove cries sadly in the burnt field,
In the distance, over in the pasture,
The quail whistles.
I wouldn't trade my piece of land for anything,
My house at the foot of the mountain,
My field dressed in flowers!
Blessed ground, corner of the birds-
Where I live is a nest
Of peace, tenderness, and love!
