Rolinha Cabocla
Tião Carreiro e Pardinho
Cabocla Dove
In the afternoon I return from the fields
And unload the cargo
I release the herd in the pasture
I put the bay horse in the corral
I feed the chickens with corn
I put corn in the pigsty
I separate all my cattle
All my dairy cattle
After all the work
I return to rest
And on the doorstep
I sit to smoke my pipe
There I entertain myself
Watching the doves return
For they all live with me
In the trees of my backyard
Of this flock of doves
Only one does not want to stay
It's a shy dove
That makes me suffer a lot
This dove I speak of
Is the last one to pass by
Leaving the nest already made
To land in another nest
If this cabocla dove
That crosses my path
Knows well that in this ranch
Lives a lonely caboclo
Dove, if you want
I will give you my affection
One is little and two is good
To live inside a nest
If you, wicked dove
Knew the cruel life
That I live alone in this ranch
Without a woman's affection
Dove in the form of a person
That crosses my backcountry
You will fall into the trap
That I made in my heart
