Encantos da Natureza
Tião Carreiro e Pardinho
Enchantments of Nature
You who did not have the happiness
Leave the city and come to know
My beloved backlands, my enchanted kingdom
My beloved cradle that saw me born
Come faster, don't hesitate
I'm waiting for you to show you
I will show the beautiful rivers of clear waters
And the rare beauties of our moonlight
When the Moon rises behind the forest
The vastness turns silver
So I spend hours and hours watching
The Moon bathing down by the stream
Many don't care about this moonlight
Nor remember to look at the moonlight on the mountains
But these do not live, they are human beings
Who are vegetating on the earth
When the Moon hides, dawn breaks
I will now tell you about the sunrise
Red rays streak the horizon
The Sun on the hill begins to rise
In the forest, all the birds sing
And in the henhouse, the rooster crows
The king of the yard opens his throat
Flaps his wings and sings on top of the granary
When the Sun heats up, cicadas sing
In a great uproar on the roadside
Beautiful butterflies of various colors
Come to kiss the already bloomed flowers
This enchanted piece of land
Was blessed by our Lord
Who never lets us lack in the backlands
Health, unity, peace, and love
