Swimming Pool
In the backyard of the house I made the swimming pool she asked for
There, how many afternoons the blue waters kissed her body
She left, from the last bath I kept the waters
That warmed her body, and that pool, all perfumed
The sun rays made her body reflect on the waves
Calling her name, crazy in despair I jump into it
I swim aimlessly, sobbing in tears embracing the waters
In the sweet illusion, that in that embrace, I embrace her
Swimming pool, that keeps a secret, every morning she bathed
She seemed like an angel, her fairy body, with sun-tanned pink skin
Even if I had dried the pool, it wouldn't matter
It would be full with all my tears, which I now shed
Pool water, you wash everything except the sorrow
That is in my chest, for living far away from the one I love so much
The lifeless leaves that the wind drags, bordering the pool
Come to prove the neglect, and the sad abandonment of those who live there
I too am a leaf, swept away by the long broom of time
I only dry the pool, in the sun of longing, for the love I lost
Swimming pool that keeps a secret, every morning she bathed
She seemed like an angel, her fairy body, with sun-tanned pink skin
