La Cancion Del Pirata
Tierra Santa
The Pirate's Song
With ten cannons on each side
Wind astern, full sail
The sea is not cut, it flies
A brigantine sailboat
The pirate ship they call
For its bravery, The Feared
In every known sea
From one end to the other
The Moon on the sea
The wind moans on the canvas
And raises in soft movement
Waves of silver and blue
And the pirate captain goes
Singing happily at the stern
Asia on one side, Europe on the other
And there in front, Istanbul
Sail on, my sailboat
Without fear
For neither enemy ship
Nor storm, nor fair weather
Can alter your course
Nor restrain your courage
Twenty prizes
We have taken
In spite
Of the English
And they have surrendered
Their banners
A hundred nations
At my feet
For my ship is my treasure
For my God is freedom
My law, strength and wind
My only homeland is the sea
There fierce wars may be waged
By blind kings
For a palm more of land
But here, I have as mine
All that the wild sea covers
To which no one imposed laws
And there is no beach
Whatever it may be
Nor flag
Of splendor
That does not feel
My right
And give way to my courage
For my ship is my treasure
For my God is my freedom
My law, strength and wind
My only homeland is the sea
